Yen+ Going Online Only in August

Yen PlusAs a result of the ever shrinking market for magazines and equally shrinking print ad sales market, Yen Press has announced that its Yen+ monthly anthology will be going online only as of August 2010.

The last newsstand issue for the anthology will be published in July, with pricing and availability details yet to be determined for the online version. Refunds will be issued for subscribers with outstanding issues past the July issue.

Yen Press has also confirmed that changes to content will be made for the online version, including the possible addition of light novels. The Yen+ anthology first began publication in August of 2008.

NANA Manga to Resume Publication in June After Hiatus

An update on the official portal for the Japanese Cookie anthology magazine has confirmed that NANA will resume publication beginning with issue #09 slated for release in late June of this year. This follows the hiatus taken by author Ai Yazawa last year due to an unspecified health issue.
